Carly Castle, M.Ed.
Carly Castle holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus in both Learning Disabilities/behavioral disorders, an Advanced Certificate in Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Carly moved to Atlanta from New York City and is an experienced Special Education Teacher with 15 years in the NYC public schools. She is passionate about helping students with learning differences, specifically students struggling in literacy. Carly brings a comprehensive set of skills that are valuable to families and students alike. Her personal strengths include helping diverse learners to feel successful by building a supportive, hands on, fun environment paired with using the Orton Gillingham approach to strengthen each child’s reading and spelling skills. Carly also helps students to set up daily systems to help strengthen their executive function skills.
In addition to teaching, Carly has worked with families as a parent advocate to help navigate the special education process. She has also trained teachers in writing quality IEPs, and has helped many families in finding the appropriate school placement.
