Robbyn Laufer, OTR/L is Clinical Director of the Occupational Therapy Practice at Parkaire Consultants, where she and her staff work with children from infancy through adolescence who have various neurological impairments or developmental delays.
Robbyn received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia, in Richmond, Virginia. She has worked for over 11 years as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in early intervention, hospital, and private practice settings.
Robbyn has received extensive training in the treatment of children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction and is certified in the administration of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT certified), for the evaluation and diagnosis of children with Sensory Integration Dysfunction.
She is trained in the use of Samonas Sound Therapy and Therapeutic Listening modalities for the treatment of modulation disorders and vestibular and auditory integration deficits as well as the Wilbarger Touch Pressure Protocol for treating Sensory Defensiveness. She is also trained and uses the Handwriting Without Tears handwriting program for the remediation of handwriting deficits.
Robbyn provides training workshops for parents, educators, psychologists, and medical professionals who are interested in learning more about sensory integration disorders and their effect on the function of our students and patients.
