Hayley grew up in Charleston, South Carolina and then attended The University of Georgia for both undergraduate and graduate school. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1998. Hayley has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and a Georgia License in Speech-Language Pathology. Hayley worked for the Cobb County School system for many years as a speech-language pathologist. She worked collaboratively with teachers to help create and lead language rich lessons within the classroom. She also evaluated and treated a wide range of communication disorders, including receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia, fluency, auditory processing, phonological awareness, articulation and phonological disorders, voice disorders and autism spectrum disorder.
For the past several years, Hayley has attended the Best Practices conference for Speech and Language Pathologists for the state of Georgia. She has also completed continuing education in the areas of apraxia, oral motor, auditory processing and reading fluency to name a few. Some courses include Practical Procedures to Generate Speech Development, Stages and Steps in Feeding and Oral Sensory-Motor Therapy, Preschool Language Scales-5: Assessing Language From 0-7, Effective Treatment for Students with Social Communication and Social Interaction Deficits and Central Auditory Processing Disorder: A Road Map for Differential Diagnosis and Management within the Educational System. Most recently, she attended Executive Dysfunction: The Disorganized, Defiant, and Chaotic Child/Adolescent Seminar.
